This is what I dont understand about citizens in the US. Everyone is so dependent on the government, everyone thinks things will turn out alright. This is not the case! My generation and the generations that will follow will not be getting social security. Our generation will not have money waiting for us when we retire! I am 24 Years old and have a retirement account. My interest is around 6% and will more than likely decrease. Therefore I am planning a retirement for myself. Please people. Dont rely on a government that is uninterested in whether you retire at 60 or when you die. Save a little bit here and there...you will be better off.
